Forged By Vow is pleased to present Krokig by Micke Lindebergh.

Coming to fruition through manual experiments with a wonky scanner, Micke’s new body of work explores how analogue and digital processes can interact to create new and unexpected takes on a familiar motif. About the work, Micke says “I found the process of rescanning my drawings while moving and twisting the image added both an organic and digital feel to my shapes and flowers. After editing and rearranging the scans, the imagery for the Krokig painting series appeared.” The juxtaposition of nature and atypical interference creates a landscape of slightly skewed and crookedimagery that is recognisable, yet surprising.

Featuring 18 new pieces; Krokig presents the audience with a space to immerse themselves in playful, large-scale paintings pairing luminescent neons alongside organic swampy colour combinations.

Micke Lindebergh’s confident hand and unapologetic choice of chromatically lush materials, such as bright acrylics, neons and printing inks, reward his audience with a visually delightful series of hand-generated arrangements.

His playful compositions make use of balance, colour, and contrast to showcase his masterful embrace of the primary palette. The bright and snappy works on show recall his most prominent influences –Scandinavian design, pop, Japanese comics and the balmy Sydney summertime.
